“Get Behind the Two Blues” Campaign Launched

We want to make our supporters proud of the Club, but we need their help!

As 2023 Season draws nearer, the Two Blues have released their annual Supporter’s Campaign – Get Behind the Two Blues (#getbehindthetwoblues)

The Campaign is aimed at encouraging the Club’s supporters and followers to take action and make a commitment to the Club as preparations are finalised for the upcoming season.

Two Blues President, Scott Rogan said “2022 was about re-laying the Foundations for the Club, and regaining stability after a tough few years through COVID-19 and a decline in playing numbers and on-field performances. We have been fortunate to move into the brand new Eric Tweedale Stadium, and we managed to field a strong contingent of Colts, Grade, and Women’s teams in 2022. First Grade performed admirably in the Shute Shield, defeating five out of the eventual top eight teams. 2nd and 4th Grade both made the semi-finals, and we attracted many new players, coaches, and supporters to the Club. Not bad for year 1 of a 3 year strategy to put the Two Blues in the strongest position possible.”

Season 2023 represents an opportunity for the Two Blues to capitalise on the momentum of 2022, and begin the task of improving on our performances and progress across all of the Club.

Head Coach at the Two Blues, Sailosi Tagicakibau, said “Last season was a huge challenge for the Club, and we managed to enjoy some good levels of success, both on and off the field. The progress we made with the Rugby Program will hold us in good stead for 2023, with many players and coaches coming back and providing the Club with a high level of continuity and cohesion. With Pre-Season training starting on November 1, we are looking forward to pushing ourselves further as an organisation and making big improvements across the Club off the back of the lessons learnt and progress made last season.”

For the first time in many years, the Two Blues will enter a new season with many familiar faces on board. The Eric Tweedale Stadium will continue to stand as a nod to the Club’s ambitions, now rated as one of the best facilities in the Shute Shield.

General Manager, Christian Burden commented “We can’t wait for Season 2023 to get started, but as our progress and ambition grows, so does the need for our supporters and followers to get behind the Club, and make a commitment to help us achieve the goals we have set. We want to make our supporters proud of the Club, but we need their help! “

“The Get Behind the Two Blues Campaign is a rallying call to ask our supporters to buy a Season Membership, become a Club Sponsor, or make a donation to our Next Chapter Project. The Club does enjoy a good level of generous support from Sponsors and Members, however, we need to keep growing this area of the Club to keep pace with our competitors and progress as an organisation”

The Get Behind the Two Blues Campaign is open to everyone, and there are multiple ways supporters and followers can get involved to support the Club financially.

Burden said “We are offering a range of options for everyone to consider and get behind, and we have worked hard to provide value for money and a great match day experience. Anyone supporting the Club will be making a real difference to our ability to achieve higher levels of success next season. We hope lots of people will join with us and show their support through this Campaign.”

With the 2023 Season Draw now public, the Club will also be publishing it’s 2023 Events Schedule shortly, including the Club’s Annual Lunch and Back to Parra Day.
