The Western Sydney Two Blues Rugby Club are excited to announce that Parra News will be behind the Club in 2023.

A member of the Western Sydney Publishing Group, Parra News offers a free printed and online news platform, dedicated to supporting and engaging with the local communities of the Parramatta and Cumberland Local Government Areas.

Moving into 2023, Parra News will be the Media Partner for the Two Blues, providing coverage and content about the Club and helping to increase community engagement and interest in the Club’s participation in the upcoming Sydney Club Rugby season.

Two Blues General Manger, Christian Burden said “We are absolutely thrilled to have Parra News behind the Club for the 2023 season as our Media Partner. This partnership is a real turning point for the Club, and a massive opportunity to broaden our reach and profile throughout the local Cumberland and Parramatta communities – Two Blues heartland for our Senior and Junior Clubs. The Parra News reflects many of the community values we have as a Club, so we believe this will be a very fruitful partnership for both organisations. Keep an eye out for some exciting developments and announcements around Match Day and our Socials.”

The Two Blues will kick off season 2023 on Saturday 1 April, and are looking to build on the successes achieved in 2022.

Burden added “2023 represents an exciting challenge for the Club, so to have Parra News behind us is a really exciting opportunity. Preparations for our Shute Shield Campaign are gearing up really well, and we are also very pleased with the development of our Jack Scott Cup Women’s Program for next season. But a major focus for the Club is working with our Two Blues Juniors and improving our Youth Program for our U20s and ensuring we are providing a great Rugby experience for those younger Players coming through our development pathways.”

Launched in 2020, Parra News produces a weekly print edition that is released each Tuesday and delivered to hundreds of pick-up locations across Parramatta and Cumberland. A digital replica edition is also produced. In addition, Parra News provides up-to-date information through its website, keeping local residents informed about what’s happening in the city where they live, work and play.

Director of Sales at Parra News, Chris Pennisi said “Parra News is really proud and excited to join forces with the Two Blues Rugby Club. Based out of the new Eric Tweedale Stadium in Granville Park, the Two Blues are the most senior Rugby Club in Western Sydney and have 144 years of history in the Cumberland and Parramatta Districts. They provide great opportunities for aspiring male and female Rugby players in the region. Through our partnership, we hope to help the Club strengthen its links with our local communities and provide our readers with some new and exciting content over the next 12 months.”
