Royal Wolf Supporting Women’s Rugby in Western Sydney

Royal Wolf, Australasia’s largest supplier of shipping containers, has stepped forward to support the growth and development of Women’s Rugby in Western Sydney by extending their partnership with the Western Sydney Two Blues Rugby Club for a further three years.

A long-standing sponsor of the Two Blues, Royal Wolf recognises and values the need to support Women’s Rugby and help ensure female players from Western Sydney have a strong Rugby program to participate in.

As one of the fastest growing sports in the country, Women’s Rugby continues to grow in popularity and profile. Recently, the Australian Sevens Rugby Women’s Team won the Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Games and took first place in the Sevens Rugby World Cup.  In October, the Australian Wallaroos will be competing in the World Cup in New Zealand, and in 2029, Australia will host the Women’s World Cup on home soil.

The General Manager for the Two Blues, Christian Burden, said “Women’s Rugby is going from strength to strength, with increased participation in all formats of the game. The Two Blues have a long history of fielding strong Women’s Rugby Teams and producing State and International Players. This year we have four of our players representing the Wallaroos at the World Cup. They are a real inspiration for the next generation of young girls playing rugby in Western Sydney.”

Royal Wolf is delighted to be continuing their long association with the Two Blues and supporting the Women’s Rugby Program at the Club.

“Royal Wolf are excited to be supporting Women’s Rugby in Western Sydney and contributing towards strengthening opportunities for female players to pursue their rugby dreams with the Two Blues. This is a genuine opportunity for Royal Wolf to further our support for the community in Western Sydney, and we wish all the coaches and players all the best for another big season in 2023.”  Said Neil Littlewood, Managing Director Royal Wolf

The extended support from Royal Wolf will go directly towards supporting the development of the players and coaches of the Two Blues Women’s Rugby Team, who compete in the Jack Scott Cup each year.

“The Jack Scott Cup is the highest level of Club Rugby for female players in Sydney” Burden said. “This renewed and extended support from Royal Wolf is amazing and will have a truly transformational impact on our Women’s Team. We are most grateful for the generosity and vision of Royal Wolf to get behind Women’s Rugby in Western Sydney this way.”

Head Coach of the Two Blues Women’s Team, Duke To’o added “The girls have worked so hard over the last 12 months and deserve this support and recognition. We can’t thank Royal Wolf enough for their support and we will do our best to make them proud of us in 2023.”
