Head Coach Announcement

The Western Sydney Two Blues are excited to announce the appointment of Sailosi Tagicakibau as the clubs new Head Coach.

A well-known and highly respected identity across the Shute Shield with significant International Rugby experience, Sailosi has an impressive playing resume, more recently achieving strong results in coaching at both Warringah and Gordon Rugby Clubs.

Sailosi joins the Two Blues from Gordon where he was both Director of Colts and Head Coach of the highly successful Gordon Colts program. Prior, Sailosi took the Warringah Colts program to successive finals series.

A Two Blues club spokesperson said “we are delighted to welcome Sailosi to the Two Blues as Head Coach. There was an extensive recruitment process with a large volume of high-level candidates to work through, the recruitment panel included representatives of both the Waratahs and Rugby Australia and we thank them for their valued input. We are extremely confident in Losi’s ability to develop a strong and appealing rugby program and a positive on and off field culture that will support the clubs aim to become a powerhouse of Australian Rugby”.

Behind the scenes, the work has already commenced, and steps are well underway as the clubs new Head Coach looks to build a strong and exciting coaching team around him and launch head on into the recruitment & retention process to piece together a highly competitive playing squad for the 2022 season.

Sailosi said of his appointment, “I’m very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to the journey ahead. I’ve always admired the culture and diversity of the club and look forward to building a top-class rugby program in the West. Fa’afetai lave & Vinaka vakalevu”.

The Two Blues are excited to welcome Sailosi to the club in a full-time capacity as the clubs Head Coach with the club entering an exciting phase of its future with the pending opening of Eric Tweedale Stadium and revitalised Rugby Program.
